Swim Yourself Happy Club

The Swim Yourself Happy Club was the result of the positive community of swimmers that came together to take part in our Virtual Swim Yourself Happy Challenge in the winter go 2020-2021. The challenge was an experiment to see how swimming can benefit your mental health. Participants chose how regularly they would swim and then logged how they felt and rated their ‘Happiness Score’ before and after their swims. The results were conclusive in showing that swimming, especially in cold water, significantly helps to improve mental health and well being and to manage stress, anxiety and depression.  

Swimming is a great way to exercise, but we now know it can be as good for your mind as it is for your body! Getting in water will improve your mood, reduce your stress, and generally help you to unwind and feel happier!

Swimming has significantly reduced the symptoms of anxiety or depression for 1.4 million adults in the UK. Almost half a million British adults with mental health problems have stated that the number of visits to a medical professional regarding their mental health has reduced as a result of swimming! (YouGov poll commissioned by Swim England (2018)). Making positive change can seem really hard, especially during difficult times, but regular swimming is definitely worth a try!…

• Postage costs to the UK are included in the price of each item. Items will be sent by 2nd Class Royal Mail. Please contact us at events@loveswimrun.co.uk if you’d like to purchase products to be sent overseas. 
• Personalised neck warmers are printed to order and depending on how busy the printers are can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. Due to being personalised they cannot be returned unless faulty.
• Art Prints and patches will be delivered within 5 working days. Prints are delivered in a tube that will not fit through a letter box.

A fun A3 (297 × 420 mm) high quality print on 300gsm recycled card stock to add a bit of bright, swimmy happiness to your wall too! Frame is not included.
Art Prints will be delivered within 5 working days. They are delivered rolled in a tube that will not fit through a letter box.
