One-to-One sessions

We recommend you start your swim coaching journey with a 1:1 open water swimming session with Chloe. This is the fastest and most cost effective way to make improvements to your swimming speed and efficiency. Perhaps you’re returning to swimming after years out of the water or you’re a beginner triathlete and you feel your swimming is going to let you down. If you are looking to improve your stroke technique, speed or endurance Chloe’s fun and friendly approach to coaching will help you swim more efficiently and comfortably. 

Are you an open water swimming beginner?

If you love swimming in the pool and would now like to take your swimming outside, Chloe will help you overcome any fears you have, help you feel more confident in open water and show you how to swim safely in this new environment. You’ll learn how to acclimatise to cold water, practice floating and treading water, learn how to breath effectively and to swim in a straight line with a more efficient technique. 

Are you a keen open water swimming looking for help with your technique?

If you’ve been swimming in open water for a while and are comfortable and confident in the water but feel you need some help with your front crawl technique then Chloe can help! We’ll look at your breathing, body position, rotation and propulsion and make sure you finish the session with the skills and knowledge to help you swim faster and more efficiently. 

Are you taking on your first open water swimming event or triathlon?

Are you taking on your first swimming event or triathlon? Do you feel worried about having to do a running start, swim in a pack or navigate your way around a course and swim around buoys? Chloe can give you the open water swimming skills you need! 

Are you a first time swimrunner?

If you love the idea of swimrun but just don’t know where to start, or if you’ve tried swimrun but need a bit of help to swim with hand paddles or brush up on your transitions then you can go for a swimrun with Chloe! She’ll answer any questions and guide you though all the gear, techniques and tips you need to know about! 

Do you want to set yourself a personal swim challenge? Are you looking for support with some distance training for a swim event?

Chloe is happy to support you on your swims by Stand Up Paddle boarding next you to offer you company, safety, feed and hydration stops and some feed back on your technique if you’d like it. 

All 1:1 sessions are tailored completely to your individual needs and with your personal swimming goals in mind. 

 One-to-one sessions will be held in Llyn Padarn, Y Glyn, Llanberis, North Wales, LL55 4EL
Llyn Padarn, in Llanberis, is the ideal venue for an Introduction To Swimming In Open Water, providing clean, clear, safe and sheltered water in a beautiful location. 

We can help you work on:
– Breathing techniques to help you feel more relaxed when swimming.
– Bilateral breathing (breathing to both sides – really important for open water swimming!)
– Body Position & rotation
– Hand entry
– Improved catch and propulsion
– Kick technique
– Open water swimming and event skills: safe swimming, swimming in a straight line, navigating whilst swimming, relaxation to combat panics, acclimatising to cold water, pack swimming, buoy turns, drafting, running starts and exits etc
– Swimrun techniques: swimming with hand paddles, pull buoy and wearing trainers, running in a wetsuit, choosing and customising gear, transition practice, running entries and exits etc.

Prices for one-to-one sessions

60 minutes = £40
Per extra half hour = £20

Chloe is passionate about open water swimming having jumped into her first Welsh lake 10 years ago! Since then she has explored most of the lakes, rivers, waterfalls and beaches in Northern Snowdonia as well as finding somewhere to swim wherever ever she travels! Chloe has taken part in many open water swimming and swimrun events in the UK and abroad including two 10km swims and winter swimming events. As well as managing Love SwimRun and organising all the events we run each year, Chloe holds a number of outdoor qualifications and has plenty of leading and experience under her belt. Her newest qualification allows her to begin sharing her love of open water swimming with you!

Terms and Conditions

Participation terms & conditions

By entering you declare you are of good health, that you meet the session fitness and other requirements as agreed by your coach when booking and that you take part entirely at your own risk. All swimmers must be 18 years or over, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

By joining this open water swimming session you do so at your own risk. We will provide water safety cover where required and ask that the equipment listed must be worn for safety reasons.
If you decide to leave the session to swim without supervision you do so at your own risk and neither Love SwimRun or any of the coaches employed by Love SwimRun will take any responsibility for you.
By coming along to a session you declare yourself in good health and fit enough to complete the agreed session.
Please inform us if you have any relevant medical conditions we need to know about.
If you ignore any advice given regarding equipment or safety you do so at your own risk.
You accept these terms and will hold on-one else accountable for any incident that may occur during the session.
Love SwimRun reserve the right to cancel the session if they deem the conditions unsafe and the right the refuse a participant if they do not have the correct equipment or they deem them not to be fit enough, able enough or in good health.
Photographs and film may be taken during the session. Participants give Love SwimRun the right to use pictures and film material taken during the session to be used free of rights in marketing, press material, internet and television.

Booking/payment terms & conditions
By booking on to a one-to-one session and making payment you agree to these booking terms and conditions:
All Bookings are made subject to availability. Confirmation of you booking will be given by email.
Payment in full is required to reserve your booking. Until full payment is received the date and time will remain open to other bookings.
Cancellations must be made in writing 14 days prior to the start of the session. In this case an alternative date/time or refund of 75% of any monies paid will be offered. If notification is made less than 14 days prior to the start of the session an alternative date/time or refund of 50% of any monies paid will be offered. We are unable to accept cancellations for any reason if made less than 7 days prior to the session – no alternative date or refund will be offered. All cancellations must be made in writing.
If you are late for your session or do not attend the session, the session will still finish at the arranged time and no refund or alternative time will be given. 
We will always do our best to ensure your swim goes ahead however we do reserve the right to alter your swim location, time  and / or date if necessary due to reasons beyond our control such as; safety issues, adverse weather conditions or extreme circumstances and no refunds will be available but we will offer you an alternative date/time. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the session for personal reasons, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered either an alternative date or a full refund of any monies paid. 
If for any reason you can no longer attend a session you may also transfer your place to someone else (who meets the session requirement) – you must notify us with 24 hour of the session commencing if this is the case and provide contact details for the new participant. Any substitution is at our discretion and we reserve the right to refuse the substitution at any time and this will be treated as a cancellation made by you.
