Million Mile Clean at Llyn Padarn

6th June 2021 – 10am to 2pm

Join us for a litter pick at Llyn Padarn on 6th June!

Please join Chloe, organiser of Love SwimRun, to help pick some litter and take part in the Surfers Against Sewage Million Mile Clean and join thousands of like minded people across the UK who are stepping up to protect the areas they love. There are cleans happening on beaches, rivers, streets, and mountains all over the UK.

The MIllion Mile Clean the biggest, most active beach clean campaign ever! The idea is to keep track of how far you have walked on your litter pick and see if we can reach a million miles in total across the whole of the UK!

Our clean will take place at Llyn Padarn, Llanberis. We will ask all volunteers to keep track of how far they walk during their litter pick (a guess is good enough if you don’t have Strava or GPS etc) and we’ll submit the total at the end of the day!

Find out more about the campaign: https://beachcleans.org.uk

Llyn Padarn

It is completely free!

It is completely free to join in and we will supply all the kit required including high vis vests (if working in area that requires them), bags for collecting the litter and gloves if you don’t have any of your own you are happy to use. If you have litter pickers or gardening/rubber gloves you are happy to use, this will leave us more of our gloves for move volunteers to use!

The intention is to litter pick on land but you are welcome to litter pick whist swimming, kayaking, or SUP. We will not be providing water safety so if you choose to do this you do so at your own risk (see safety brief below).
