Learn the skills you need for open water swimming.
With open water swimming becoming more and more popular, there are lots of people keen to give it a go but they are not sure where to start! We want to encourage more people into the open water so we’ve organised a training day with ucanswim to give you the chance to come along and get some coaching on specific skills and techniques for open water swimming.

Throughout the morning we will cover between 1000m to 1500m of swimming with regular breaks (you can get out for a rest at any time!), with an option to venture out to the middle or even across the lake (weather dependent!). The aim of this fun and information packed session is to put the theory into practise and build your confidence in open water. Chris will give you some basic open water swim techniques and inspire you to adventure further. You’ll be given individual feedback on your stroke and some pointers to take away and work on.
12.00 pm: Warm up with a hot drink and biscuits, a review of the session and you can ask questions about any outstanding things you’d like to know.
