Love SwimRun launched in 2016 with our inaugral event Love SwimRun Llanberis, the first swimrun event in Wales! We now have three great SwimRun events: Love SwimRun Llanberis a hilly 16km course which takes place in June in Llyn Padarn, Padarn Country Park, also Love SwimRun Holy Island a spectacular linear course on the Anglesey coast in September! New for 2021, we have Love SwimRun Dawn to Dusk, a 12 hour endurance Swimrun! Complete as many laps of our tough 6km Swimrun course as you can between dawn and dusk! You’ll need to sign up fast for these fun SwimRuns as we only have limited spaces!
2017 saw the launch our new ‘Swim Train’ series, with The Big Welsh Swim! A multi distance open water swim in Llanberis with a choice to swim the length of the lake, either once, twice or three times! We have a mid length option too, plus spaces for juniors and a non-wetsuit option! We also now have The Big Bala Swim with a 1.5km, 4.5km and 9mk options. Go on, dive in!
Back for 2021! The Welsh Winter Swim: A fun but freezing cold water challenge! The Welsh Winter Swim includes short individual races of 50m, 100m, 250m and a tough 500m endurance challenge. Wetsuit and non-wetsuit places are available, but neoprene is only for softies!

Brave in the icy waters of Llyn Padarn at the coldest time of the year! With views of ice covered Mount Snowdon, The Welsh Winter Swim will include short individual races of 50m, 100m, 250m and a tough 500m endurance challenge. You may enter a single event or multiple races and you’ll receive a unique sewn patch for each distance you complete! Wetsuit and non-wetsuit places are available, but neoprene is only for softies!

‘All aboard the swim train!’ Catch the historic stream train along the shores of Llyn Tegid, Wales’ largest natural lake, to start your swim! Surrounded by the beautiful Aran, Arenig and Berwyn mountain ranges, the lake has suberb views and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way. There are 3 distance options to choose from; 1.5km, 4.5km and 9km, so there is a swim to suit everyone. Wetsuit and non-wetsuit places are available!

Swim in the deep clear waters of Llyn Padarn and run beneath the majestic summit of Mt Snowdon. Running in your wetsuit and swimming in your trainers, you’ll take a seamless journey through the spectacular landscape of Snowdonia. Each section of the Full 16km SwimRun course (there are 4 runs and 4 swims) offers beautiful views, varied terrain & you’ll pass by a few historic relics too! We also have a 6km sprint course that os open to age 10+. Enter as a team of two or go it alone as a solo!

10th July 2021 Llyn Padarn, Llanberis
‘All aboard the swim train!’ Catch the narrow gauge steam train to the end of Llyn Padarn to start your swim for a truly unique experience! From start to finish you’ll be wowed by the spectacular mountain scenery, beautiful woodlands and historic monuments. You can swim the length of the lake, either once (3km), twice (6km) or three times (9km) and we have a junior option too (1.3km). Wetsuit and non-wetsuit places are available.

11th September 2021 Holy Island, Anglesey
The 23km route takes in the rugged & beautiful coastline of Holy Island, beautiful cliff top runs with views of the mountains of Snowdonia, hidden beaches, rocky swims and a tough final climb up to the finish line. With 6 run sections and 5 swims, each leg offers something new with a surprise around every corner! (NEW for 2020: we also have a 10km Sprint course!) With only 200 spaces for this unique event, enter as a team or go it alone as a solo, just sign up while you can!

2nd October 2021 Llyn Padarn, Llanberis
Our 12 hour endurance Swimrun! Complete as many laps of our tough 6km Swimrun course as you can between dawn and dusk! This is completely different to our Love SwimRun Llanberis route but you can expect the same stunning views of majestic Mt. Snowdon, beautiful woodland, waterfalls, historic relics, challenging technical trails and a lot of ascent! There will be approx 1km of swimming for each loop (over three swims). Enter as a team of two, a relay team or brave it alone as a solo!
